Problem: The university’s world class tennis facilities had issues with players on the courts, and spectators in the stands not being able to hear announcements over the existing PA system. In addition, there was no place for a centralized equipment rack.
Solution: Montrose designed a mobile rack that could be moved in position at will, connecting to an AV input panel courtside. With wireless mic receivers, and a Bluetooth mixer, operators could connect music file players wirelessly, and override music at any time when announcements were to be made or play was in session. Outdoor loudspeakers were installed at every court and the spectator seating, for clear voice and music to be heard.
City of Lynwood CA
Problem: Senior Center wanted to be able to have movie time
Solution: Montrose installed a giant video wall in the center, and loudspeakers at the front and rear of the room, plus outside on the patio. Wireless mics were added to the sound rack, and a Bluetooth mixer as well. Movie files and streamed video could be input to a box on the wall.
County of Ventura CA Public Works
Problem: Conference room can be divided. They needed two separate conferencing systems that could be combined.
Solution: Montrose installed two 86” displays on either side of the room, and two Shure beamforming microphone arrays, along with speakers and an auto-tracking camera. In the rack was a Crestron processor and DSP, along with audio amps. Wireless touchpads were installed on both sides of the room to enable either side to be used independently, or combined.
Walt’s Wharf Restaurant, Seal Beach CA
Problem: Restaurant was being rebuilt and remodeled after a fire. A background music system that is completely controllable from an iPhone or iPad is necessary. There are eight separate zones.
Solution: Montrose designed a system around the ATLAS Atmosphere and SONOS music player. Twenty five loudspeakers were installed, both surface and ceiling mounted. Select employees now have complete control of all eight zones; on/off, volume, music selection and DSP setup or adjustments.
