Mitch Montrose
Founder & CEO
Mitch Montrose is a broadcast engineer with more than 40 years of experience in audio, video, and communications technology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radio-TV-Film with a minor in Industrial Technology and began his career maintaining broadcast facilities, transmitter sites, and studio production equipment.
In 1985, Mitch joined the design labs at Mosley Associates, where he worked on complex technical systems and engineering development. He later moved to Hollywood and supervised engineering crews at post-production and transfer houses, working with advanced media and broadcast systems.
Montrose AV was founded in 1993 when Mitch recognized businesses needed practical, user-friendly technology instead of complicated equipment that required constant troubleshooting. His background in broadcast engineering shaped the company’s philosophy: systems must be reliable, simple to operate, and designed around real-world use.
Since then, Mitch has designed and built systems for city council chambers, hospitals, corporate headquarters, NFL franchises, and major entertainment organizations. His expertise spans presentation systems, telepresence, networking, sound reinforcement, and enterprise AV infrastructure.
